The Center for Research Resources provides a vast amount of materials, data, research reports and bibliographical information to scholars at universities and research institutes in Japan and throughout the world, and coordinates advanced collaborative research.
We are learning lessons from the past and undertaking new tasks. For example, we are building a database of data obtained from over a half century of longitudinal surveys of language change in Okazaki City and Tsuruoka City in Japan. We are also working together with Department of Linguistic Theory and Structure to derive a new theoretical understanding from this data.
