Summary
Various possibilities of corpus annotation will be pursued to further develop the effectiveness of existing corpora. The annotations under investigation include, for example, argument structure of predicates, clause boundary classification, word-sense tagging, modality tagging, and, multi-word structure tagging. In addition, standardization of various annotation schemes for Japanese is an important aim of this study.
