Overview
As part of NINJAL's collaborative research project "Evidence-baced Study on the Intonational Diversity of Japanese and Ryukyuan" (Project leader: Yōsuke Igarashi), we will hold a monthly conference focused on historical comparative linguistics of the Japonic languages. For the first conference (24th November, online), Pr. Thomas Pellard (CNRS) will give a presentation titled "Long vowels in Northern Ryukyuan and the reconstruction of the proto-Ryukyuan accent system".
